A tightly rolled scroll that measures 28 feet, the longest of all Dead Sea Scrolls so far. A major portion of it is dedicated to statutes of the kings and matters of defense. It also describes sacrificial feasts and rules of cleanliness. Almost half details instructions for building a future temple, supposedly revealed by God to the scroll's author.
It was acquired by Yigael Yadin of the Hebrew University during the Six-Day War in June 1967.
